I worked closely with Sinead during a very significant time for Pieta - the organisation was embarking on an ambitious growth strategy, fuelled by increasing client numbers, while facing historical internal challenges and operating within an external environment that, within a relatively short period of time, became highly complex, unpredictable and demanding. Throughout this period, Pieta remained focused on its clients and successfully delivered on its strategy and priorities through the strength of the team and the generosity of its supporters.

Sinead was instrumental in driving Pieta forward at this time. She is a highly capable, experienced and inspiring leader. Sinead is a big picture thinker, she is strategic, proactive, confident, professional and inclusive. Sinead is also an excellent communicator, can bring people with her on the journey and can manage stakeholders at all levels inside and outside the organisation. She is open, positive, consultative and an expert in her field. Sinead is also focused, pragmatic and has high integrity. I really enjoyed working with Sinead and I hugely appreciated Sinead‘s time, energy, knowledge, expertise and focus while she was at Pieta.

FAQs

  • A call is an opportunity for you to find out more about how we can help solve your nonprofits problems. We set aside 30 minutes and take some time to understand the problem in depth, explain what we do and how we might help you solve it. There is no obligation to move forward. In some cases, we may recommend you speak to other partners in the sector if we feel they are a better fit.

  • We set aside 30 minutes for a discovery call.

  • There is no obligation to move forward after a call. Every charity is unique, we may need a follow up session, move forward with a proposal or provide you with the information you need to present to stakeholders to move forward.

  • Developing a new strategy typically takes between 12-16 weeks from our first project meeting, this allows for significant stakeholder input, feedback and ideation workshops, board involvement and the production of final documents.

  • Every strategy project needs a lead to coordinate stakeholder engagement, gain feedback on progress, evaluate scenarios, and engage the existing fundraising team (if there is one). We would recommend meeting every two weeks for one to two hours for the duration of the project and advise setting additional time aside at the beginning, middle and end of the project for gathering and sharing data, reviewing, sense checking, ideation and onboarding.

  • Every social enterprise is different and faces a range of unique challenges, the size of organisations we work with range from less than 20 employees to hundreds. For this reason, each project is cost uniquely and is dependent on the extent of the stakeholder review, the depth and scale of the existing fundraising programme and the levels of engagement required at team and board level.

  • Yes, fundraising is primarily relationship based. With decades of experience, we understand fully the investment required to achieve fundraising growth. Equally in a constantly changing world, supporter expectations are changing, technology is changing, and continued investment is required to ensure fundraising teams can meet both organisation and supporter expectations.

  • Mentoring can help you or a team member overcome challenges, develop skills, build confidence and raise more funding to deliver impact.

  • At the outset we agree on the key challenges you would like to overcome, skills you would like to develop or areas you would like to feel more confident in. We agree to meet regularly for a set time period e.g every two weeks for three months and then focus our time on the areas outlined by you.
